I’ve had Borders for 20 years and greatly enjoy doing “all the things “ with them. One of our most fun and satisfying events is Earthdog. I’m honored and looking forward to be judging at our 2024 Speciality.

My family has raised Border Terriers for generations and I’m so honored to judge Earthdog at the 2024 National Specialty. I am committed to preserving the original purpose of the breed and love judging earthdog, conformation, farm dog, juniors, performing temperament testing and therapy dog evaluations.

I was born and raised in New England. I got my very first, very own Border Terrier in 1963 in Connecticut from Henry Mosle. She was the daughter of the first Border Terrier that I had ever seen in the flesh and I was hooked on the breed.

After a 30 year career as a Veterinary Technician, I am now retired and have the time to expand my activities with my dogs in more performance sports. In addition to the conformation Championships, they have titles in Earthdog, Rally-Obedience, Agility, Coursing, Fast CAT, Trick Dog, Temperament Test and Scent Work. I am most proud of the three Working Certificates and the Hunting Certificate that we have earned. We are still active in conformation, AWTA den trials, AKC Earthdog tests, agility trials, rally obedience trials, TDI therapy dog visits and Scent Work and, as always, hunting.

I have been an AKC Earthdog judge since 1966 and an AWTA Go To Ground judge since 2006, adding Canada Kennel Club earth dog
judging as well.
