Mary Clarose – Lacey, WA

I got involved in dog training back in 1977 when I had a mixed breed pit bull. I “dabbled” in obedience with Ilio (dog in Hawaiian). Besides my first dog, Ilio, I have owned Jack Russell Terriers, Parson Russell Terriers, Border Terriers, American Staffordshire Terriers, and currently have two Staffordshire Bull Terriers, Ruby and Rolo.
I’ve shown in obedience, conformation, rally, agility, scentwork, Fast CAT and Barnhunt. Rolo, my Staffy Bull, has his CDX, is currently enjoying Barnhunt and Fast CAT, and training for Utility and Scentwork. Ruby, my female Staffy Bull, enjoys lying on the couch and being cute!
I’ve always enjoyed the challenges of training and showing my dogs. You always need to be a step ahead of a terrier, and it is a great feeling when we become a team.
I am an AKC Scentwork, Earthdog, and Rally Judge.
I’m looking forward to meeting all of you.
Tracy Hill – Richland, WA

Tracy has been involved in scent sports since 2013, and over 10 years in Scent Work/NoseWork. In 2014, she developed the “sniffy” program for 4 Paws and teaches all levels from intro to elite competition. She started her Judging activities in 2017 with the United Kennel Club, and began judging for AKC in 2022.
She actively competes with her Siberian Husky, Jinx. In AKC, he is finishing his Master title and is running in Detective. In UKC, both her dogs are Elite competitors; and in NACSW Jinx is working on his NW3.
She believes that sniffy sports fulfill many needs for dogs of all ages, and she has seen many dogs with behavioral challenges blossom once they found their “job.”
