Description
The Border Terrier Club of America offers a judge’s seminar on the breed every year in conjunction with its annual national specialty. This year’s seminar will take place on Thursday, June 15, 2023 at the Purina Farms Event Center Great Hall in Gray Summit, Missouri.
The seminar begins with a 90 minute classroom discussion of the border terrier presented by experienced and approved club members. This includes a video presentation, discussion of the breed standard along with an opportunity of hands-on with two border terriers, plus questions and answers. Judges are invited to sit at ringside during the day with a number of breed approved mentors available to answer questions and discuss the border terrier. Following judging there will be a ringside opportunity to “judge” 5-6 border terriers shown by BTCA club members. Discussion of these dogs is for the judge’s education only and to be kept confidential and not shared even with the exhibitors. We promise that this experience will send you home with a thorough understanding of the border terrier; its roots, standard and why it is bred to be an excellent earth dog. To create the best experience for you, please let me know if you have any specific questions about the border terrier so that we can make certain to include that in our discussion. Please send the information below back to me at: If you have any questions, feel free to contact me by email or at .
